Classroom Notes:

A big thank you to Mr. Monteiro who came and taught the class about Brazil.

On March 31 Trinitas will hold a Geography Bee.  K-2nd will participate with geography themed classroom activities.

Monday – Art
Wednesday –  Music
Friday – PE

What We’re learning:

SSRW: Next week we will focus on words with short vowel u, as well as read the story “Ducks Quack, Hens Cluck”.

Handwriting: We will work on writing Xx and short sentences with a capital letter and an end mark.

Math: We will continue to learn and practice subtraction.  We also have been learning how to tell time on a clock.

Geography: We will continue to learn about Europe.

Science: We will do some activities to learn more about spring.  The official start of spring is March 20.

Bible Story: We will hear the story of the three youths in the furnace.

Virtue: Helen Keller expressed the virtue of responsibility quite simply when she said, “I am responsible for doing the work I need to do today even though it may be hard.” She certainly knew what it meant for work to be hard. As we struggle at times to complete our own work, it would be good for us to remember Helen Keller’s words and her example.

Our verse for March is Matthew 22:37-39:

Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like it: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

For homework I am sending home a book called, “Bob and Spot”.  Please have your child read to you and return with your signature.
