Admissions Process

We appreciate your interest in Trinitas Classical School. If you have any additional questions or would like to schedule a visit, please call 616-855-6518 or Contact Us by email.

Admissions Process

TrinitasStudents-7_400x300The first step in the admissions process is to fill out and send us your application along with the required application fee of $50. After we receive your application, you will be contacted to set up an interview with the Headmaster; a member or members of the Board of Trustees may also be in attendance.

Following the interview, a recommendation will be made to the Board of Trustees. The Board considers each application very carefully; our ultimate goal is to make sure Trinitas is a place where your child can flourish.

If your application is approved, you will receive a letter with details about tuition payment and the completion of required forms (e.g., immunization records, medical and safety information, etc.).  Also, we will contact you to establish a time for your child to take placement exams.

Once an application is approved by the Board, 10% of the full annual tuition must be paid to reserve your child(ren)’s place on a list of applicants. If by the February 15 re-enrollment deadline for current families there are fewer applications than openings, the applicant is accepted and this amount constitutes a non-refundable enrollment deposit. If there are more applications than openings, this amount is held as a deposit and reserves the chid(ren)’s place on a waiting list.

How old does my child have to be to enroll?

In most cases we require that a child be five years old on or before September 1st of his/her Kindergarten year; however, children of a younger age who clearly demonstrate readiness may be considered for enrollment.

What are tuition costs?

Please call the school or request an informational folder for the current tuition information. Student tuition covers all books, field trips, testing, and membership fees (e.g., Michigan Junior Classical League, National Latin Exam) for full-time and homeschool partnership families for the classes in which they are enrolled.

What are the options for tuition payment?

Parents of both full-time and homeschool partner students may pay tuition in full by July 5, or make payments through FACTS Tuition Management on either a bi-annual or 10-month plan. To sign up for payments, please complete the online agreement with FACTS.

Do you have a benevolence fund?

We are committed to being a school that displays socio-economic diversity. God’s kingdom, after all, displays such diversity. But we are a young school with limited financial resources, and we are also committed to fiscal responsibility. So, we currently have limited monies for families who need financial assistance. Families are encouraged to apply for tuition assistance from their churches and other charitable sources. Trinitas also provides tuition assistance (up to 50% total tuition) to qualified full-time families. New and returning enrollees seeking financial assistance from Trinitas must apply through FACTS Grant and Aid.  If you would like your child to attend Trinitas and are unable to afford full tuition, please talk to us about the matter. There are often creative solutions to such problems. Likewise, if you would like to contribute specifically to a benevolence fund, please talk to us about the issue. This is a wonderful way to further God’s kingdom.

Non-Discrimination Policy

Trinitas Classical School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational and admissions policies, scholarship programs, or other school programs.
