Math: We will work on number bonds and simple addition.

Bible Story: We will hear the story of the three youths in the fiery furnace.

Geography: We will read about Asia.  Jane Ding (mom of Joelle and Jacquelyn in 1st and 2nd grade) is hoping to join us this week to share a lesson on culture and skin tones.  (rescheduled from last week Friday).

Science: We will discuss and create a graph for the uses of fabric.  Students will also work on weaving.

Virtue: As we enter our final quarter, we shift our focus to the virtue of LOYALTY. We will continue to PERSEVERE to the end of the school year, so watch for a Home Connection packet with ideas and resources for both virtues after spring break. Please join us for chapel next Wednesday, March 27. A favorite guest of ours, Father Michael Nasser from St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, will lead us in reflecting on Loyalty in the Christian life.

Homework

For homework I am sending home a phonics page.

Our verse for March is Psalm 23:

The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.

 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.
