As part of last year’s worship grant, students created a “gift box” of Psalms to go with an Advent devotional guide. We heard from many families that this activity was a blessing and fostered deeper reflection during this season of anticipation and preparation. Though our grant year is over, we want to continue finding ways to draw near to the Light of the World as a community. This year, we present “Imagining the Incarnation,” a set of cardstock ornaments featuring biblical images from the Old Testament that point to who Jesus is and what he did for us. Students will be working on the ornaments in multi-age groups during Friday Focus this week and next. Families will also receive a devotional guide including scripture, poems, hymns, and ideas for reflecting together. We hope each family will find a way to use these materials during this season of waiting and wondering at the miracle of the Incarnation.
