We Are Ready!

June 25th, 2020

While we acknowledge that questions remain about how our schools and communities will be affected by the COVID threat this fall, there is no question that we are prepared to welcome students back to campus for classes and community events in the 2020-2021 academic year. We are planning to begin classes on campus the Tuesday after Labor Day and to follow our regular calendar for the school year. At the same time, we are also prepared to begin with remote (online) instruction and for a combination of in-person and remote instruction as needed throughout the school year.

To make our campus safe, the school is adjusting its illness policy, use of shared spaces, and procedures for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces with guidelines from the CDC and Kent County Health Department in mind. Trinitas will adapt in response to official guidance as it develops throughout the year. As the governor has announced plans to unveil school re-opening guidelines by June 30, we will be able to share more details soon.

Awards and Graduation Postponed

June 25th, 2020

We deeply appreciate your patience and understanding as plans quickly changed last week for Awards and Graduation. As soon as we have details about a rescheduled event, we will share them with you. Please hold on to those dress uniform items a little longer. Thank you!

Summer Office Hours

June 10th, 2020

School may be out for the summer, but our office is getting ready for next year! The office is open Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. throughout most of the summer. If you plan to stop by school this summer, we recommend you call first or check the Outlook or website calendars as staff may be unavailable or away from their desks during office hours.

We will continue to send newsletters every other week during the summer in order to keep you informed about events and important details for the 2020-21 school year.

Typing Club: Your Key(board) to Success!

June 10th, 2020

Computer and keyboard competency became very important when our classrooms moved into our homes, so there’s never been a better summer for students to master their typing skills. Click here for the Typing Club information that went home with students last Friday. Students that have mastered basic skills should jump ahead to more challenging exercises.

CCE Corner and Virtue of the Month: Looking Ahead

June 9th, 2020

Living intentionally and practicing habits of virtue are not things we leave behind during the summer. We hope you will continue to read together from The Book of Virtues and from other good books, especially The Good Book! Find a place to keep a list of virtues in sight (advertisers know how important this is) and be creative about ways to practice them. Here is our list of 10: Self-Discipline, Work, Perseverance, Faith/Trust, Compassion, Friendship, Courage, Loyalty, Responsibility, and Honesty.

May you be blessed this summer as you are a blessing!

Congratulations, Graduates!

June 5th, 2020
Our wonderful 8th grade graduates filled the school – and our Zoom classes – with smiles and laughter. They have not only faced one of the greatest challenges of their educational careers, they have done so with determination and grace. They are a special group, and they will be missed. But as we have written in the closing blessing in the tributes, graduation doesn’t mean you leave Trinitas; it just changes your role in our community. Graduates, you are now alumni, and alumni are expected to keep in touch!

Trinitas Class of 2020 Tributes

As we remember our graduates, we remember all the moments from the school year that were memorable and meaningful. We give thanks to the Lord for his goodness and faithfulness!

Exciting news! We are pleased to announce that we will gather for Awards Night and Graduation on Wednesday, June 17, at 6:30 p.m. We look forward to seeing everyone in person and celebrating our students’ accomplishments together. Please watch for details!

CCE Corner – Being Prayerfully Intentional

June 5th, 2020

We could end our discussion of what we’ve learned from helping to start a classical Christian school with ten lessons. Ten is probably more than enough. But, as we mentioned last time, we have a bonus lesson that goes back to what impressed us about classical education in the first place. We’ve left the first part of the lesson blank on purpose. It’s for you to fill in later.

May Virtue Focus – Courage

June 5th, 2020

We continue to focus on the virtue of COURAGE. We should remember that we do not need to brave in our own strength. Hear these encouraging words from our Lord to his disciples (who certainly had reason to be fearful). They speak to us today too!

“A time is coming, and in fact has come, when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me. I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:32-33
