We strongly encourage students in K-4 to wear shoes (dress and “everyday” uniform) with non-marking soles. This should be noted on the box or listed in the item’s description, if purchased online. Shoes without non-marking soles can leave a mess. The custodial staff will greatly appreciate our assistance in keeping the hallway clean.
Please click here to enter the online store for our required PE shirts. Each of our cotton t-shirt styles is now available in all three colors (navy, gray, and yellow). There are also moisture-wicking performance t-shirts and polos, as well as crewneck and hooded sweatshirts.
Parents, you will find a greater selection of shirts and jackets for you this year. And that’s not all! If you scroll down to the accessories section, you will find a tote bag, baseball caps, and a winter beanie.
A Trinitas logo shirt is required for PE for all full-time students. Click here to view the uniform dress code including the PE uniform. PE shorts and pants may have a brand logo on the side so long as the logo color matches a Trinitas uniform color (white, yellow, navy, gray). Logo size may not exceed 2 x 2 inches.
Students will wear their PE uniforms on the first day of school, September 3, as we have planned special games and activities that afternoon.
The store will close at 11:59 p.m. on the 16th. We anticipate orders will be ready by August 30. Please call or email the office if you have any questions.
You may also purchase jackets, pullovers, and athletic wear at Lands’ End. Click “Shop By School” and search for Trinitas using our address or our preferred school code 900115726. Lands’ End contributes three percent of net sales back to our school!
Our first day of school is only a few weeks away! We will begin with morning prayer and classroom time. After lunch, there will be games and activities. All students should wear their PE uniforms the whole day. The required PE shirts may be purchased at this online store through August 16.
Kindergartners will attend all of the first day.
Homeschool partners are encouraged to join us from 11:40 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. for recess, lunch, and the afternoon activities. Homeschool partners who do not participate in PE may wear attire that is as close as possible to our PE dress code.
Mr. Fynewever-Muyskens has moved to a full-time staff position and will be teaching 7th/8th math, science, and logic as well as 5th/6th math and science. Our students will be happy to hear that he will continue as our PE teacher for all grades. Mr. Fynewever-Muyskens brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for helping students learn and grow to every subject he teaches, and we are delighted that his role is expanding at Trinitas!
Mrs. Tellinghuisen, in addition to her Tuesday/Thursday office position, will be our new 5th-8th Latin teacher. A lover of language study from her middle school years, she studied Greek, Hebrew, and Latin while in seminary. She is very familiar with the Latin program at Trinitas, having served as an aide for Primers A and B for many years and then working closely with Mrs. Miller in the upper grades as a substitute, classroom helper, and MJCL chaperone. She looks forward to continuing the wonderful projects and plays that have become the hallmark of Latin at Trinitas.
Please join us on Tuesday, August 20, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. for our Open House and Picnic where you will be able to meet Mr. Fynewever-Muyskens and Mrs. Tellinghuisen, if you haven’t already, along with the rest of our staff.
We are thrilled to announce that Justin M. (5th) took first place in the North American CSI Bible Quiz Challenge! The competition was held at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., on June 20. This is a wonderful accomplishment, and we are very proud of you, Justin!

Open House and Picnic – August 20, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Come see the classrooms, drop off school supplies, visit with teachers, and stay for fellowship and fun! Bring your dinner and a blanket for a picnic on the lawn near the playground.
If you would like to drop off your child(ren)’s school supplies that evening, please do so between 6:00 and 6:30. So that teachers can enjoy the picnic and fellowship as well, they will be closing classrooms at 6:30.
The entire family is invited, and you are free to come and go as needed. We hope to see you there! If your family is not able to attend, students may bring supplies on the first day of school.
Orientation for Parents – September 4, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
This is a required orientation for parents only. It will include an introduction by the headmaster, board president, and Parent Service Fellowship. There will also be teacher presentations and Q&A time in the classrooms. Please watch for more details.
School may be out for the summer, but our office is getting ready for next year! The office is open Monday-Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. throughout most of the summer. We will be closed on June 20, June 26-28, and the Fourth of July holiday. If you plan to stop by school this summer, we recommend you call first as staff may be unavailable or away from their desks during office hours.
We will continue to send newsletters every other week during the summer in order to keep you informed about events and important details for the 2019-20 school year.
Click here to view the uniform dress code. We have several dress uniform events during the year as well as a “practice day” prior to our first event to make sure all students have what they need and everything fits well and looks sharp. Aside from those dress uniform days, students may wear any item on the “Optional” list.
Blazers and ties for full-time boys in K-8 and girls in 5-8 may be rented from the school. The yearly fee is $25 for a blazer and $5 for a tie. Fittings will take place during the second week of school.
Don’t forget about our uniform closet! We still have a great collection of khaki pants and many polo shirts. We are always accepting donations!
We strongly encourage students in K-4 to wear shoes (dress and “everyday” uniform) with non-marking soles. This should be noted on the box or listed in the item’s description, if purchased online. Shoes without non-marking soles can leave a mess, and the custodial staff will greatly appreciate our assistance in keeping the hallway clean!

A new video entry intercom system has been installed at the school doors and should be up and running by the first day of school. Our office staff will be able to observe the front door and unlock it remotely. We look forward to the simplicity and convenience this will offer both families and staff, and we wish to express our gratitude for the generous gift that made this possible.
