Vacation Calendar Changes for 2019-2020

May 10th, 2019 by Trinitas Classical

We want to highlight three changes to 2019-2020 Vacation Calendar.

  • Families who have been at Trinitas for a long time may notice that the Fall Break is a week earlier than in years past. We have moved that break to coincide with an annual craft show hosted at St. Mark. This change will simplify things for our teachers and for the church.
  • The second change appears at Mid-Winter Break. In order to reduce the impact of vacation days on kindergarten and other part-time classes, this break now falls on a Thursday-Friday rather than Friday-Monday.
  • The third and final change for the coming year includes the addition of a partial day for travel on the Friday before Spring Break. Students will be dismissed at 11:35 that day.

Standardized Testing Next Week

May 9th, 2019 by Trinitas Classical

All full-time students will take tests next week, May 13-17 (M-F for Grades K-2; T-Th for Grades 3-8). It is important to plan for your children to get good rest and healthy breakfasts so they are prepared for their testing days.

PLEASE NOTE: We may be able to make up missed days of testing due to illness, but we cannot make up testing for planned absences.

Field Day Is Coming Soon!

May 9th, 2019 by Trinitas Classical

Field Day is Friday, May 24! Activities will begin after morning prayer. We will dismiss at 11:35 a.m.

We are looking for parent volunteers to help with the activity stations and record scores. If you are able to help, please contact the office.

Because we try to keep the teams evenly matched, please let us know as soon as possible if your child(ren) will not be able to attend the event. Homeschool partners are welcome to participate and should let their classroom teachers know if they plan to do so.

May Virtue Focus – Loyalty

May 9th, 2019 by Trinitas Classical

During the month of May we continue to examine LOYALTY. To whom and what are we loyal? What does it look like to be a loyal friend? To be loyal to my family? To God? Let us remember to surround all our efforts to be loyal with prayer to the God who never forsakes us.

You May See a Butterfly Flutter By…

May 9th, 2019 by Trinitas Classical

… in a few months! Did you know that millions of monarch butterflies migrate every year? Some travel up to 3,000 miles! They fly from the United States and Canada to wintering grounds in Mexico. Our kindergarten class planted a butterfly “way station” of milkweed and perennial flowers. Look for it just around the corner from the school entrance.

A Letter to Parents on Transitions

May 5th, 2019 by Trinitas Classical

This letter was sent to parents of incoming 5th and 7th graders as they prepare for the upcoming school year, but it provides a wonderful overview of the Trinitas years from K to 8th. It is full of helpful insights and encouragement for parents and students of all ages, and we wanted to share it with our entire community.

FAN Parent Signature Sheets are due Friday, May 3. These must be turned in for your student to participate in the rehearsal Monday and Fine Arts Night next Friday.

Students will be rehearsing Monday during the school day. This is our only rehearsal so it is important that students remember to bring any instruments, props, CDs, costumes, etc. Continue to work on polishing your pieces. We’re looking forward to seeing them on Monday!
