Keeping Skills Strong This Summer

June 17th, 2021

It is very important for students to spend the summer playing outside with family and friends, exploring the world around them, and reading for pleasure (alone or with others). We also encourage students to keep their language arts and math skills sharp so they are ready for the first day of school in September. Mrs. Bodine and Miss Mehari like the Grand Rapids Academic Summer Program (GRASP), which is a correspondence course with weekly lessons for reading, math, or both. You may also want to explore Summer Skills review books to help prevent “Summer Slide”.
