The following school supplies should be labeled with your child’s name or initials:
2 boxes 10-pack pencils, sharpened (some brands sell pre-sharpened pencils)
4 erasers (large white ones are best)
2 boxes of crayons (24 pack preferred)
1 box large washable markers (best to buy 2 and save one for second semester)
1 pair of scissors – blunt/round edge
pencil box
6 large glue sticks
2 pocket folders; one should be durable plastic for daily use between home and school
2 composition books, black and white marbled cover (only one if in Miss Mehari’s class
last year)
1 package wide-rule paper
1 binder (for the wide-rule paper – please have paper in binder already)
2 packs 3×5 index cards
box/holder for index cards
water bottle
1 beach towel to keep in your locker for outdoor lunch
Please note that supplies, especially pencils, markers, paper, and glue sticks, tend to run low by the end of the year, so it might be best to stock up on back-to-school sales. I will send notes home if any supplies need to be replenished.
Other things that would be helpful to supply for the classroom: glue sticks, sandwich size bags, gallon size bags, paper plates, paper towels, foaming hand soap.
NB: If your child has special food allergies or needs, please send in a supply of individually wrapped snacks that can be used for your child when there are classroom or school celebrations that involve food.
