Grades 5–6 School Supply List

The following school supplies should be labeled with your child’s name or initials:

*Pencil box/pouch
*Pencils (2 boxes, already sharpened)
*1-2 block erasers (white is preferred over pink)
*Colored pencils
*Ruler (with standard AND metric sides)
*College-lined paper (2pks; 1pk for HSP)
*3×5 cards (2pks; 1pk for HSP Latin)
*Pocket folders with 3-hole brads in the center. Durable plastic recommended. (HSP students need 1 for each course)
Grade 5: 7 folders
Grade 6: 8 folders
*Pens (4 blue or black, 4 red)
One 1-1½ ” 3 ring binder to store lined paper (optional)
2 composition books/journals (black & white cover or similar style, not spiral bound)
Water bottle
Protractor, compass, and right triangle set (the protractor should not have a rotating arm, and ideally the compass should have a threaded cross bar)
Scissors
Glue stick
Bible (New King James Version)
A beach towel to keep in your locker to use for outdoor lunch

NB: Students do not need to purchase an academic planner this year. We will pilot a customized, teacher-provided planner for Gr. 5-6).

Please note that pencils, pens, and paper tend to run low by second semester, so it might be best to stock up on back-to-school sales.  We will send notes home if any supplies need to be replenished.
