Kent ISD is coordinating directly with the Kent County Health Department to provide information as it becomes available.

February 28th, 2020Spring parent-teacher conferences are optional. If you wish to meet with a teacher (or if a teacher requests that you do so), please set up an appointment for the week of March 23.
Reader’s Theater (Gr. 3-6) Starts Next Week!
February 28th, 2020Students in Grades 3-6 are invited to participate in our annual Reader’s Theater puppet plays. Those who sign up must be available to attend all three Friday rehearsals (March 6, 13, and 20) and the performance on Friday, March 27.
West Michigan Whitecaps Reading Club
February 28th, 2020Love to read? Love baseball? Students in Grades K-4 are invited to participate in the Whitecaps Reading Club. Please read the information on the forms going home today. They are due back on Tuesday, March 31. Students can earn two free tickets to the game on May 30. Extra reserved seats can be purchased on the form. If you’d like to attend but do not have a K-4 student, contact Mrs. Bodine to order discounted reserved seats in the Trinitas section.
February Virtue Focus – FAITH/TRUST
February 28th, 2020As we enter the season of Lent, it is appropriate that our virtue focus is FAITH. We encourage you to take some time to put into practice disciplines that will help your child(ren) and you grow in faith as your minds and hearts prepare for the death and resurrection of our Lord.
Parent Information Breakfast – Saturday, March 7
February 21st, 2020We are looking forward to our first Parent Information Breakfast on Saturday, March 7. As we finalize plans for the program, we will know more about our needs for family and student participation. At this time, we are seeking food donations for the continental breakfast. If you are able to help, please contact the office.
In addition, please keep spreading the word and inviting those who might be looking for a school like Trinitas! RSVP’s will be required for this event. Guests may register directly on Eventbrite or by clicking the “Reserve Your Place” button on our website.
NOTICE – All-School Picture Next Wednesday
February 21st, 2020We will have an all-school picture taken after Morning Prayer next Wednesday, February 26. Students should arrive in dress uniform, but they may bring everyday uniform items and change after the picture.
To order the all-school picture, return the order form that went home with students this week. The form is due on or before Picture Day. You may also pay online where you will be given a code to show that payment has been made. Please contact the office if you have questions.
Important Calendar Update – No School on April 22
February 21st, 2020Trinitas will welcome Davies Owens, host of the Basecamp Live podcast, in April! Mr. Owens will be speaking at a special event on Tuesday evening, April 21. As with Protect Young Eyes, we hope to facilitate conversation within our community about cultural trends that are deeply influencing children, youth, and adults alike. Watch for more details!
Please note there will be no school on Wednesday, April 22, as Mr. Owens will be leading an in-service day for the staff.
Kindergarten Round-Up – March 17
February 21st, 2020If you have a child staring kindergarten in the fall, please plan to attend Kindergarten Round-Up on Tuesday, March 17, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Children will enjoy group activities with Mrs. Hultink and work through some oral and written exercises which help to assess readiness. Parents will have the opportunity to meet with Mr. Marth to discuss tips and hints for a successful start to kindergarten.

February 21st, 2020Our school Spelling Bee winner, Gabriel B., and runner-up Lily T. will compete in the regional Spelling Bee to be held at St. Thomas the Apostle School on Tuesday, February 25. It will begin promptly at 4:30. Friends and family are welcome!
